Living Heritage holds its Craft, Food & Gift Fair in the magnificent grounds of Gatcombe Park, making it an ideal opportunity to purchase a superb variety of crafts and quality gifts. Crafts on display vary from leatherwork, wood carving, coppice woodsmen, pottery throwing, painting, jewellery and clothing to glass blowing and blacksmiths. Not only can you purchase unique items but you can also witness our craftsmen demonstrating their skills. Ever popular is the glass blowing demonstration given by Ed and Margaret Burke from E & M Glass. Watch the transformation as a small gather of molten glass results in a beautiful sparkling vase or twisted stem glass. Our Gift Marquee allows you to purchase a range of quality country gifts, country wear and specialised merchandise. It is an ideal opportunity to start your Christmas shopping! The Food Marquee supports local and regional food suppliers who will be displaying their goods and the Country Kitchen, where top quality chefs will be demonstrating mouth watering dishes to tempt your taste buds. Not forgetting the children, we have marionette displays and ‘Make & Take’ sessions. |
